As the Chief Operating Officer for Doncaster Chamber, Andy is responsible for leading Opportunities Doncaster and ensuring the organisation delivers the borough’s education and business strategy.
Andy has worked in the education sector for the past decade, having held senior positions at both a large awarding organisation and two national training providers. For the past four years, Andy has been an integral member of executive teams by supporting business growth whilst ensuring high levels of service and quality. Cat manages the Opportunities Doncaster team to deliver all contracual outcomes, across a variety of different strands, managing the three business and education advisors who have responsibilities to deliver NEET, SEND, Mainstream and business engagement targets.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Cat also is the parental engagement strand lead for the organisation, responsible for engaging with parents, carers and communities to raise awareness and aspirations, ensuring we bring business into the community.Contact Catherine
As Business and Education Advisor for Opportunities Doncaster, Emma is the SEND lead for the organisation, responsible for working with all SEND schools throughout the borough to increase the number of supported internship opportunities availabile to young people, working with employers to ensure they are disaibility confident, and linking in with key partners such as DMBC, DWP and Project Choice. In addition to this, Emma represents the organisation on a number of working groups in relation to SEND and leads on all SEND school delivery that we undertake as an organisation.Contact Emma
Asa is responible for working with business and educators to support them to achieve their gatsby benchmarks, reduce the number of learners who are at risk of being NEET and works closely with the business community in particularly SME's to prepare them to deliver activities with young people.
He successfully delivered the first ever Doncaster Careers Week, which saw 4000 young people attend Opporutnities Doncaster Live, the borough's flagship careers event.
Using his skills and knowledge gained at his time with the Chamber, Asa has built up a portfolio of businesses and supported them to engage within the education community and become young people ready.Contact Asa
As Business and Education Advisor Lucy is responsible for liaising with schools and businesses to organise meaningful work experience placements for young people, ensuring a smooth and high quality service for both schools and businesses with young people at the centre of everything we do. Lucy also leads on the delivery of our Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge Programme in addition to supporting a caseload of schools to undertake business and education engagement activities.Contact Lucy
Matt leads the Business and Membership team for the Chamber and Opportunities Doncaster with a responsibility to build relationships with passionate businesses, who are keen to sign the Doncaster Promise.
Matt's team support businesses, their staff and general volunteers across the region who are willing to offer time, financial investment and support to a network of schools with the aim of inspiring and educating students on future careers and industries across Doncaster.
