Andy Hibbitt

Education and Skills Director

As the Education and Skills Director for Doncaster Chamber, Andy is responsible for leading Opportunities Doncaster and ensuring the organisation delivers the borough’s education and business strategy.

Andy has worked in the education sector for the past decade, having held senior positions at both a large awarding organisation and two national training providers. For the past four years, Andy has been an integral member of executive teams by supporting business growth whilst ensuring high levels of service and quality. He has a passion to bring business and education together to support the Doncaster community, both for now and the future.

Catherine Matthews

Lead Project Coordinator

Cat has operational responsibility for the Opportunities Doncaster team to deliver contractual outcomes.

Reporting to the Education and Skills Director, Cat manages a caseload of schools and plans their related activities. She liaises with business owners and representatives in order to secure support for Opportunities Doncaster and delivers careers guidance as and when required.

Cat is Level 3 IOSH and L3 Safeguarding qualified and manages a team of four.

Lucy Pinder

Work Experience Co-ordinator

Lucy is responsible for liaising with schools and businesses to organise meaningful work experience placements for young people, ensuring a smooth and high quality service for both schools and businesses with young people at the centre of everything we do.

Rachael McEwan

Project Coordinator (SEND)

Rachael is a qualified trainer including SEND and MBTI Practitioner, and as the SEND lead for Opportunities Doncaster, she is responsible for all delivery in SEND and PRU Schools in the borough. Rach supports the development and growth of Opportunities Doncaster by coordinating all SEND projects and is also IOSH and Safeguarding level 3 qualified.

Matthew Lawrie

Business Partnership Manager

Matt is responsible for building relationships with passionate businesses, staff and general volunteers across the region who are willing to offer time, financial investment and support to a network of schools with the aim of inspiring and educating students on future careers and industries across Doncaster. He works closely with the Opportunities Doncaster team to support all activities.

Emma Mellor

Project Coordinator

Emma manages a caseload of schools and plans their associated activities. She liaises with businesses and representatives to support the development and growth of Opportunities Doncaster. Emma is IOSH qualified and delivers Careers Guidance as and when required with identified schools.

Asa Buckley

Events Coordinator

Asa is responsible for the organisation and delivery of all Opportunities Doncaster events.

He is responsible for the delivery of the first Doncaster Careers Week and the engagements throughout the week, as well as our flagship careers event Opportunities Doncaster LIVE which will welcome over 100 exhibitors and over 3,000 young people.
